Creating The Best Dentures For Your Smile

Partial Dentures – Partial dentures are used to replace a series of teeth when you still have some healthy teeth in your jaw. These dentures are removable and consist of natural-looking replacement teeth set on a base of gum-colored plastic that fits on top of your gum. Sometimes they are supported by wire.

When you have healthy teeth, we can help you preserve them for as long as possible with partial dentures.

Traditional Full Dentures – As the name implies, a full set of dentures replaces a full row of teeth. Like partials, traditional full dentures are completely removable and are typically made of acrylic or plastic. Since dentures are removable, they are easy to clean and maintain.

Valplast Dentures – We offer Valplast dentures, which are soft, flexible plastic dentures without any metal clasps to irritate your mouth.

Implant-Supported Dentures – One of the downsides of dentures is that, since they rely on suction, gravity, and dental adhesive to stay in place, you don’t always have the most stable and secure bite. Sometimes they come loose or even fall out when you eat or laugh.

Fortunately, this problem is easily remedied with implant-supported dentures from First Dental Associates.

Dental implants are titanium screws that anchor a set of overdentures directly to your jaw, giving you the stability you need to keep your denture in place. There are two types of implant-supported dentures options available from First Dental Associates:

  • Bar-Supported Dentures – This involves a metal bar that’s attached to three or four implants, and the denture clips onto the bar.
  • Ball-Supported Dentures – This includes a small ball, similar to a tiny trailer hitch, at the end of each implant. The denture has a set of receptacles that corresponds with the balls, and your denture snaps into place.
