Medha Singh, BDS, DMD, MS


Medha Singh, DMD, BDS, MS, is a periodontist and implant specialist at First Dental Associates in Reading, Massachusetts. Dr. Singh has completed extensive research and training in oral medicine, allowing her to deliver safe and comfortable dental care for all of her patients. 

Dr. Singh earned her bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from the Government Dental College and Research Institute in India. She then relocated to Massachusetts, where she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for her master’s degree, doctorate in dental medicine, and a certificate in advanced periodontology. Following her studies, she was honored to be invited to a fellowship in oral implantology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. 

After completing her training, she continued as an assistant professor at Tufts University and a part-time faculty member in periodontology at Harvard University. During her time as a professor, she completed funded research for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Singh has lectured and authored several publications on Sjögren’s syndrome and salivary hypofunction. 

Dr. Singh is a reviewer of the Journal of Dental Education and the Journal of Periodontology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society, and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. 

In addition to her many accomplishments, Dr. Singh is very active in her local community. She dedicates her free time to educating and serving underprivileged communities in the Boston area as well as in India. She is also a compassionate mentor to students seeking a career in dentistry.
